JUVEA's Clean Manufacturing Process of Natural Talalay Latex

All of JUVEA’s pillows are constructed utilizing 100% Natural Talalay Latex manufactured in the Talalay Global factory located in Connecticut. Talalay Latex is the premier material in bedding and is called ‘Earth’s most perfect sleep material’. 100% Natural Talalay Latex in JUVEA pillows delivers a unique buoyant quality which relaxes muscles and relives tension, lifting away the pressures of the day while asleep.

Talalay Latex is naturally harvested (trees are tapped similar to Maple trees during collection of sap) from the Hevea tree and delivers a natural sleep material that is temperature regulating, hypoallergenic, biodegradable, antimicrobial and dust mite resistant.

The clean manufacturing process uses three main natural ingredients; latex, air and water to deliver the most natural, eco-friendly, and ergonomic material on the market available for pillows.

The Talalay Global clean manufacturing process consists of these 8, carefully monitored steps that produce the main components of JUVEA's variety of pillows.

Step 1: Mix
After harvesting of natural latex, combination of materials are mixed together in a temperature controlled, stainless steel tank to create a batter.

Step 2: Pour
The batter is transferred to the pressroom where it is whipped into a froth and injected into an aluminum pincore mold. The pins create the unique aerated cell structure of our latex.

Step 3: Vacuum
The mold is sealed and a vacuum is pulled filling the mold with liquid latex, vacuuming is only found with the Talalay process and allows for our distinctive feel.

Step 4: Freeze
The batter is frozen to a temperature of -20 degrees. Freezing is also unique to the Talalay process which prevents particles from settling, ensuring a consistent cell structure.

Step 5: Heat
Once frozen, CO2 is added to the core to gel it into a solid state. The core is then heated to 220 degrees to cure the latex and lock in its superior cell structure.

Step 6: Wash
The latex mattress core is removed from the mold and placed on a conveyer belt that brings it through a five-stage fresh water rinse. Rinsing removes latex proteins, residual soaps and curing agents. The multi-stage washing process is also unique to Talalay latex.

 Step 7: Dry
The mattress is then transported to a two-lane dryer, which completes the curing process and removes residual moisture.

 Step 8: Test
Only the best pass the test! Once dry, every product undergoes a nine-point firmness consistency test and infrared technology scan to ensure they meet our stringent quality standards.
