Who is the company Juvea? Juvea, a subsidiary company of Talalay Global. Our company is dedicated to the production of natural products using 100% latex.
Where are Juvea pillows made? The pillows are made in the USA at our manufacturing facility located in Shelton, CT.
Are the pillows natural? The pillows themselves are 100% natural latex made using the Talalay method which provides a luxurious buoyant feel. The plush foam gently supports your head and neck for proper spinal alignment, relieving tension and promoting the deep, restful sleep your body is craving.
Are the pillowcases natural? The cases that envelope the pillow come in 4 options:
- Durable, cotton blend cover 59% Polyester, 40% Cotton, 1% Spandex
- Natural Tencel blend cover 59% Polyester, 40% Tencel, 1% Spandex
- Sustainable, organic cotton 100% Cotton
- Luxurious, Mulberry silk 100% Silk

What is your return policy? We offer a 30 day no questions asked return policy. We do however recommend that if for some reason you are unsatisfied with your pillow, that you contact our service department about exchanging the pillow for a different style pillow or pillowcase.
How often should I replace my pillow? 100% Latex pillows are resilient and built to last. With that said, the sleep experts recommend changing your pillow every 2-3 years.
Is there a scent to the latex pillow? 100% Talalay Latex is a natural product, manufactured from the rubber in the rubber trees, with no off gassing. Our Talalay process includes a multistage fresh wash systems which helps to remove most of the natural scent. Any lingering scent is often most noticeable when the product is first delivered. We have included a note in the packaging recommending that the pillow be allowed to breathe after it has been received (usually a few hours).
How do I wash my Juvea pillow and how often? The pillow should never be washed, only spot cleaned. We do not recommend placing the pillow in the dryer as it will void the warranty on the product. The cover can be washed.
What is Talalay Latex? Talalay Latex is a rubber-based material that comes from the tropical heavea brasiliensis tree. Air is infused into the latex compound to create latex’s open cell structure. The Talalay process has been used in the United States for over 50 years to produce one of the finest, most natural materials ever used in pillows.
What are the benefits to latex?

Where is your latex sourced from? The majority of our latex is sourced from Thailand. The latex in its purest form is then shipped to the United States where the pillows are manufactured in Shelton, CT.
I received the wrong style pillow, how do I return? Simply contact us as at care@juvea.com or 1-855-MYJUVEA (695-8832) and we will quickly send you a return label to exchange your pillow.
Is a latex pillow fire retardant? The 100% natural latex pillow is covered with a fire-retardant liner which is made of a polyester material that when burned meets the United States fire retardant requirements. We do not use Antimony Trioxide class 2B in ANY of our Juvea pillows.
Is all latex Sri Lankan? We source our latex from a variety of locations, however most of the latex we use is sourced from Thailand.
Is any part of this product made or assembled in China? The fabrics used in our pillow liners and covers are made in China. All of the manufacturing of the pillows, liners and covers take place in the United States.
Is the latex Dunlop? No, we use the Talalay Process for our latex.
Where is the foam made? The latex foam is the Talalay process which all takes place at our manufacturing location in Shelton, CT.
Is there a zipper on the cover? Yes, each of our pillows comes with a zippered cover.
How long does the pillow take to fully expand? Once opened from the zippered dust bag, the pillow will instantly open.
Do the pillows sleep cool? I sleep hotter than average and I’m wondering if it will trap too much heat for me? The natural properties of latex provide a natural cooling effect unlike any other pillow manufactured on the market. In addition, we offer a synthetic pillow cover option that can increase the natural cooling effect.
Are there any materials sourced from petroleum? Absolutely not, our products are 100% Talalay Latex.
Where can I purchase this pillow in person? We currently offer our pillows for sale online only. We anticipate future opportunities for in person retail purchase. Stay tuned by following our website, email or social media accounts.
Does it contain PBDEs, formaldehyde or boric acid? Absolutely not, our product is 100% natural latex.
Can the cover be removed? Yes, the cover can be removed.
Does this pillow have a “breaking in” period? No, the pillow will be ready for use upon arrival. If you notice a slight scent, we recommend letting the pillow rest outside of its plastic covering for 4 hours prior to use.
How is it on ears? Due to the buoyancy of the pillow, many find it to be easy on the ears.
How does the natural latex pillow compare to a memory foam pillow? The natural latex pillow outperforms memory foam by its breathability, sustainability, consistency, Oeko-Tex Class 1 Baby Safe certification, better supports REM sleep cycles and is supportive, buoyant and offers pressure relief.
Why don't Juvea Talalay latex pillows cause an allergic reaction?
According to the FDA, there have been zero cases of allergic reactions to the natural rubber used in latex foam products throughout the bedding industry, which spans more than 35 years.
The Talalay latex used in Juvea products is subject to a five-stage washing process that removes any reaction-related proteins. Talalay latex is also flash heated from “gel” into a permanent solid form which eliminates any remaining proteins or residue.
What is mulberry silk? Mulberry Silk is a type of silk produced from cocoons of the silkworms of the Bombyx mori moth, which are only fed the leaves of the Mulberry tree. It is the highest quality silk available for purchase.
How do I care for my silk pillowcase? We recommend either handwashing your silk pillowcase with a gentle detergent or machine washing on a gentle cycle with cold water using a garment bag and gentle detergent. We also recommend air drying.
